We support CPS students and broader school community by raising funds and holding inclusive community events that build community spirit and engagement.
Funds raised in previous years have been used to improve the school playground, build our music program, operate the canteen and support students. In 2018, our fundraising efforts will target more outdoor recreation and learning spaces.
We have a two-year plan for a number of events and activities that should appeal to all. We welcome any contribution from the community to help us help the school – your time, donations, sponsorship, baking prowess, BBQ skills, professional skills or great ideas. Just get in touch with the Events & Fundraising Team – Jenny Parkes, Jen Lonergan, Kate Hamilton, Larah James, Louise Willems and Hang McGuire.
Upcoming events and activities
Keep on top of school terms and key events with the Canterbury Public School calendar. Plan your school year and holidays. We’re planning and designing the calendar and they’ll be available at the end of Term 4.
If you are interested – or know a local business who would be interested – in placing an ad please contact Jen Lonergan. Advertising helps us keep costs down and raise funds for the school.
Let’s welcome all the new families, students and teachers to Canterbury Public School with a picnic. More details to come.
Two elections in 2019 mean two opportunities for a democracy sausage sizzle. NSW goes to the polls in March and the Feds should go later in the year. We’ll be firing up the BBQs and looking for delicious treats to tempt the voters … and raise money for our school.
Bring out the rides and stalls for the major fundraiser in September 2019. We’ll need lots of volunteers!
